London is a city of endless excitement and opportunity. It is a city of great architecture, historical attractions and great food. Most importantly, what makes London so great is the level of cultural diversity that has developed over the years. This diversity helps to make London a city with more to see and enjoy. For example, you can walk through the city center and sample food from all over the world.

For these reasons, we are ecstatic to be involved in a new project organized by Brick Lane Circle and Stepney Green Trust, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund called Human Stories and the East India Company. The aim of the project is to take 12 volunteers from the surrounding community on a journey through time and space; researching the archives of London's most well-resourced museums and libraries in order to bring the story of the East India Company to life through creative writing.

The idea is that each volunteer will have the opportunity to extensively research this era of history; the institutions, individuals and events that contributed to the rise and fall of the East India Company. Volunteers will create short stories based on real historical facts and findings. For example, they might be about the intricacies of trade, sea voyages and storms or planning the Opium Wars. Whichever area of this fascinating period of history volunteers choose to focus on, they will develop and use their creativity to share their knowledge with others in the community.

We chose to get involved in this project because we think it focuses on developing community spirit and preserving British and Asian heritage. Our company is not involved in creative writing projects - that's self-explanatory. However, we will be playing another role in a similar project, also based at the East India Company, and we will share more information with you soon.

On March 19th we attended the launch of Human Stories and the East India Company's program to learn more. We really enjoyed listening to the invited speakers, including those from the National Maritime Museum and the British Library.

You can find some videos of the demo snapshots below, sorry we couldn't take more but we were too busy to listen! We also apologize for the quality of the photos.

Again, if you think any of them might like to get involved, please share this post with your friends. Alternatively, make sure you follow us on social media to find out more about the upcoming project we're involved in, as it will include some modeling!
